This piece features a brilliant splay of emerald on a matrix of black shale and crudely rhombic calcite. The central emerald crystal measures 1.6 cm in length by 9 mm in width, and exhibits a wonderful internal fire. The crystal has a naturally healed fracture at its base, and a pristine flat-top termination.
