Prehnite is fairly common in Massachusetts, but there are not many fine pseudomorphs like this one. Excellent quality lustrous green prehnite formed casts after what was probably anhydrite making a much more aesthetic specimen than the usual flat plates. This came to me labeled as Paterson, New Jersey, but Frank Imbriacco set me straight on the locality. An eastern US classic.
