SILVER with CALCITE
Highland Bell Mine, Beaverdell, Greenwood Mining Division, British Columbia, Canada 5.5 × 2 × 3 cm

Sold Specimen Number: 0915-BS1129 Browse All Specimens
Here is a fantastic combination specimen of wire silver and calcite from the mines of British Columbia. The highlight of this piece is a single snow white crystal of calcite that hangs delicately from a 2cm long silver wire. Several smaller silver wires have grown from the calcite matrix. The silver has a well developed antique patina, and tremendously aesthetic form. Overall, a unique and beautiful specimen. This specimen was a gift to Bill Smith from the mine manager, George Babet, in 1972.
