This is a very sharp single crystal with good deep red color and excellent luster. The crystal has flat bottom apparently from growing against another mineral, but the display faces are great. This is an old specimen traded years ago from Bryn Mawr College in Pennsylvania. The notation on the back of the label states “M Bradley 11/28/95” so it was presumably acquired by Bryn Mawr in 1895. An eastern US classic.
