Wendy & Frank Melanson Collection Although Maine’s gem tourmalines are far more famous, these pegmatites also produced nice beryl crystals. This one has nice color and luster with a rather hazy phantom. Unfortunately one edge of the crystal has flaked off, but it’s still a great locality piece. Wendy and Frank got this one from the Joan and Bill Sanborn collection in 1989.
