The Sunnyside Mine is one of the most storied mines in Colorado. Rich veins of gold ore produced some of the finest specimens of rhodochrosite and fluorite ever found in Colorado as well as fabulous high-grade gold samples. This specimen is typical massive ore with white quartz and sulfides with a mass of hackly red stained gold protruding from the top. The accompanying label states that the specimen was collected from the Little Mary Vein and that it contains petzite. I think both of these statements are questionable. From the collection of Erberto Tealdi, the former editor of the Italian mineral magazine Rivista.
