The Dixie Mine near Idaho Springs produced many fine gold specimens during its lifetime, but only a small percentage have the quality of this one. This exceptional crystalized leaf gold has brilliant luster and nice trigons on the faces of the leaf. The secondary leaf on the front wiggles quite a bit, so care must be taken when handling the specimen.
