Wendy & Frank Melanson Collection This is a beautiful twinned chalcopyrite crystal on a drusy quartz matrix. The chalcopyrite is coated with an unusually lustrous iridescent film, possibly bornite. An accompanying label from the Senckenberg Museum in Frankfurt, Germany is dated 1855. Quite a historic specimen.
