Bill & Carol Smith Collection
Bill and Carol Smith collected sulfosalts in general, but they collected bournonite as an impressive stand-alone suite with representation from many disparate localities.
This is a fantastic Pribram bournonite. A cluster of brilliant tabular sixlings to 2.5 cm across including one that stands vertically are centered on a white calcite lined vug. One crystal is broken off near the matrix, but the other 2 are nearly damage free. There is no accompanying label, but the number (2252) and painted black arrow on the bottom of the specimen suggest that this was a Bement specimen traded from the American Museum.
