Jim & Dawn Minette Collection
Jim and Dawn Minette acquired this specimen from Harry Miller in 1964, not for the wonderful lustrous orange wulfenite crystals, but for the botryoidal dard green matrix which they thought was smithsonite. I had this one analyzed with SEM-EDX and found that it was not smithsonite, but actually a lead copper arsenate. We think it’s probably bayldonite, we have not had an XRD done to find out for sure.
