Bill & Carol Smith Collection This is an fine and interesting Tsumeb smithsonite in its own right, but the really unique aspect of the specimen is the dark brown tabular barite crystal on the reverse. The white smithsonite crystals are coating sheets of a black sulfide matrix which appears to be galena. Bill Smith got this piece in an exchange with Harvard in 1955.
