Wendy & Frank Melanson Collection Wendy and Frank Melanson by virtue of Frank’s frequent trips to Brazil accumulated a wonderful and varied suite of thumbnail tourmaline crystals.

This is a beautiful floater cluster of two gem pink doubly terminated “rubellite” tourmaline crystals. The distinctive termination may be an indication that this specimen is liddicoatite, but I can’t be sure. Frank and Wendy traded this one from the Sorbonne in 1978.
