A rich and lustrous example of copper in calcite from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. This piece is host to a magnificent array of water clear calcite crystals, each with a core of bright golden copper. Fine leafs and wires of copper with a dark antiqued patina create contrast throughout. This specimen displays very well from its face, masking contacts on either edge. At least two generations of calcite are present, each producing different crystal forms. There are no large crystals here, but the color and quality is great.
