Harold Michel Collection Harold Michel was a long-time collector and part time mineral dealer in the Phoenix area. He grew up in Kansas, but discovered minerals when he moved to Arizona and it became a passion for the rest of his life. He specialized in Arizona minerals, but had a fine suite from Colorado, a quartz collection, and numerous worldwide samples. The collection was well catalogued with cards carrying detailed information about each specimen.

Another fine Arizona pseudomorph, this malachite after azurite is from the Inspiration mine, more well-known for chrysocolla pseudomorphs. This one is composed of very sharp interlocking diamond-shaped crystals with a few scattered azurite crystals on the surface.
