Harold Michel Collection Harold Michel was a long-time collector and part time mineral dealer in the Phoenix area. He grew up in Kansas, but discovered minerals when he moved to Arizona and it became a passion for the rest of his life. He specialized in Arizona minerals, but had a fine suite from Colorado, a quartz collection, and numerous worldwide samples. The collection was well catalogued with cards carrying detailed information about each specimen.

This is an unusual style of malachite after azurite from Bisbee. They are more typically the “sword” habit, no big blocky crystals like this one.
