Harold Michel Collection Harold Michel was a long-time collector and part time mineral dealer in the Phoenix area. He grew up in Kansas, but discovered minerals when he moved to Arizona and it became a passion for the rest of his life. He specialized in Arizona minerals, but had a fine suite from Colorado, a quartz collection, and numerous worldwide samples. The collection was well catalogued with cards carrying detailed information about each specimen.

This is just a classy miniature. White quartz crystals dusted with pyrite are jutting out of a bed of glassy black cassiterite crystals. This one is pictured in “Bolivia – The Height of Mineral Collecting”, Mineral Monograph number 12, page 3.
