Jim & Dawn Minette Collection An exceptional pseudomorph from the type locality for both Inyoite and meyerhofferite- the Mount Blanco Mine in the Black Mountains of Death Valley. The magnificently formed crystals of translucent, glassy inyoite have been almost completely replaced by chalky white meyerhofferite. There is a strong contrast in luster where the Inyoite remains unaltered. The sharp monoclinic crystal form adds a beautiful geometric aesthetic. This piece is a must for borate collectors, and comes complete with the original label.
