The Mystic mine near Phoenix was “rediscovered” and mined in 1992 when these gold specimens were recovered. The locality is now part of a Sun City golf course. It’s not the prettiest gold in the world, but the story of the discovery as recounted on pages 306 and 307 of “Collecting Arizona” is a great read.
