Pete Tescione Collection Pete Tescione was an avid field collector and a part-time mineral dealer in the Tucson area. We were able to acquire 3 important lots of his field collected minerals: pyromorphite from Spain, hematite from Italy, and quartz from the Jeffrey Mine in Arkansas. The hematite crystals were found in an area now closed to collecting. The crystals were found in open pockets in the volcanic rock along with other species including fluoro-edenite and fluorophlogopite for which this is the type locality.
