John Smolski Collection John Smolski has been an obsessive topaz collector both in the field and with a silver pick for over 20 years. He kept his field collected prizes, but we are fortunate that he sold us the rest.

Here’s a seldom seen topaz locality, and a great name. Who ever came up with the “Hairy Peruvian”? This is a fine crystal regardless of locality. This lustrous gemmy crystal has a phantom zone near the termination composed of mud inclusions.
