Bryce Colwell Collection
There never were many of these gemmy sphalerites from Dzhezkazgan on the market so I was surprised to find this one in the Colwell collection that was heavily weighted toward fluorite and Montana. There are two major crystals on the specimen, one twinned and the other not. They are quite sharp with a deep amber color and sprinkled with chalcopyrite. Some from this find are coated with an iridescent chalcopyrite film that makes them look opaque until backlit. The crystals are not perfect, but the damage is barely noticeable unless you examine it closely.
