Bill & Carol Smith Collection
This one is a great combination piece. The slightly gray tinged discoidal witherite crystals are centered on a mound of white pyramidal alstonite crystals.
Steve Warren has just informed us that this specimen is almost certainly from the Holmes Rise, High Cross Vein, Brownley Hill Mine. He informs us that Lindsey Greenbank rediscovered the location and collected alstonite there, but witherites of this quality are almost certainly older material.
