This is a truly stunning specimen of copper-included calcite on matrix. The best quality of this piece is most certainly its vibrant color. The fine foils and leaves of penny bright copper really make this specimen glow. The well-formed scalenohedral calcite shows multiple secondary faces and overgrowths, nearly forming a doubly terminated crystal. A small shard of basaltic matrix coated with pumpellyite and calcite forms the base of the specimen. The deep forest green color creates a perfect balance of color. In all, an amazing specimen that can be showcased in a collection of any size.
